Comments: I am doing a 15,000 mile bicycle tour of the USA-Canada Perimeter on my way to San Ysidro at the Mexican Border. I am riding the Oregon Coast Trail (Hwy 101). Came into Gold Beach and there was only an RV park available. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed, cable tv, microwave & mini fridge, wi-fi, and 1 hour of free long distance worldwide! A 24 hour market is a short walk away. The owner is very congenial and is bicycle tourist friendly! Go to my website at http://www.northamericacyclingexpedition.com and read my journal entry for July 28, 2008 about my stay here. Curtis (the owner) is the man!!!

Comments: Recently we traveled the Oregon and Californian coast and stayed in the Oregon Trail Lodge for one night - which was the best decision we took during our travels. Comfortable room and bed, quiet, super friendly staff and great offering including long distance calling for free. For anyone passing through Gold Beach on Hwy 101 I highly recommend staying at the Oregon Trail Lodge - we would do it again in a heart beat.

Comments: I was traveling through Gold Beach on vacation from Germany and stayed here. This is the only motel I have ever stayed where the long distance was free. In addition, I called home to Germany and talked for about 20 minutes, and when I checked out the next morning, they did not charge me for the call. I will definitely tell my friends about this place.
